Edmonton Oilers vs. Colorado Avalanche - November 18, 2009 - Rexall Place

Colorado Avalanche at Rexall Place - November 18, 2009.

The Edmonton Oilers will host the Colorado Avalanche today at Rexall Place.  The game starts at 7:00 pm and the game will be available on TSN-for a pleasant change.  I don't think that too many people will miss paying nearly $20 bucks for the HD PPV--especially considering how bad the PPV product sucks.  Oh, and given that the Oilers can't win a hockey game, why shell out hard-earned cash to watch your team lose?

Back to the game...  The season series is split at one game a piece.  Let's face it, Colorado's simply a better hockey team.  Hell, unlike the Oilers, they can actually beat the Flames!

The Oilers have been crying about player injuries, but many of the players on the list at this point are either role-players like JF Jacques, Ryan Stone, Fernando Pisani, or simply guys that haven't learned how to play NHL hockey yet--like Robert Nilsson or Marc Pouliot.  Stop crying!  Look at who the Penguins are missing from their lineup.

The Avs have had a few injury problems themselves.  David Jones got rocked in the dying minutes of last night's game.

Here's a look at the Avalanches' projected lineup:

John-Michael Liles, who has been out three games with a shoulder injury, and T.J. Galiardi, who has sat out seven games with an ankle injury, participated in no-contact drills at practice on Monday, and are traveling with the club on their current road trip. Neither will suit up tonight against the Flames. - Denver Post
